Thousands of Americans can claim stimulus checks and monthly payments of up to $1,400 in March

AMERICANS can still claim stimulus checks and other forms of cash – but some will require quick action.

Currently, thousands of people are set to automatically receive stimulus checks and other payments.

Stimulus checks are one-time payments, while Universal Basic Income (UBI) recurs

In the meantime, there are a few more you can claim from states and cities.

This includes payments in the form of stimulus checks and Universal Basic Income (UBI), which recur as opposed to a lump sum.

Some will require you to complete an application – which may only be open for a few weeks or even days.

We list below the payments you can claim.

Federal incentive – $1,400

Although a fourth federal stimulus check seems unlikely, you could still be owed a payment worth up to $1,400.

This may be you if any of the following conditions apply:

  • Parents who had a baby in 2021
  • Families who added a dependent on their 2021 tax return
  • Individuals and couples who earned more than $80,000 and $160,000, respectively, in 2020 but less than that amount in 2021
  • Eligible family members who died in 2021 and did not receive their full stimulus payment

Those eligible for a stimulus check can claim the recovery rebate credit on their tax return.

The deadline for filing tax returns this year is April 18.

Arizona- $1,000

Last month Phoenix, Arizona launched its Monthly Income Program which will give each eligible family a total of $12,000.

As part of the city’s financial assistance initiative, 1,000 families with children are receiving monthly payments worth $1,000 on preloaded cards for one year.

Since there were no payments in January, the families received payments of $2,000 in January.

To qualify, the income of a family of four cannot exceed 80% of the region’s median income of $63,200.

Eligible families must collect their cards in person and are not mailed, a city spokesperson told The Sun.

Program participants received a link to register for an appointment and collect their cards.

A “small number” of eligible families have yet to collect their cards, the spokesperson said.

Funds are loaded onto cards on the first of each month.

New York – $1,000

During the pandemic, few bands have suffered from high unemployment quite like artists.

And that’s why the Creatives Rebuild New York (CRNY) initiative was launched by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, which supports the arts and humanities.

The CRNY program will provide $125 million in relief funds to artists.

Specifically, 2,400 artists in New York State will receive payments of $1,000 over 18 months.

Additionally, the program will provide 300 job opportunities for artists over two years, who will pay $65,000 per year.

Eligible artists can request their unconditional payouts now.

However, applications are only accepted until March 25, which means you have just over two weeks to claim.

To learn more about how you can get money, you’ll need these five documents to earn up to $22,503 from the IRS.
