Lake Regional Welcomes New Board Member



Lake Regional Health System announces that Mark E. Rector has joined its board of directors. The unpaid 16-member board of directors provides governance and oversight of strategic health system initiatives.

The rector is a long-time resident of Lebanon. He received his law degree from the University of Missouri and practiced law for over 30 years. His experience includes the functions of elected municipal judge for the city of Lebanon and lawyer at the law firm Allen & Rector, PC. He was the former president of the Laclede County Bar Association and was an assistant professor at Drury University on the Lebanon campus for 20 years.

The rector is a recognized leader in the community. For more than 25 years, he was a director of Trustees for the Citizens of Lebanon, and he is currently president of the organization. Previously, Rector served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Laclede County Library in Lebanon and was actively involved in the planning and supervision of the construction of the Lebanon Library. Rector looks forward to fostering excellence in healthcare with Lake Regional.

Rector and his wife Teresa, also a longtime resident of Lebanon, have been married for over 30 years. They have a daughter, Whitney Arnold, a medical assistant in the Lake Regional Emergency Department.

The rector fills the post left vacant by founding board member Robert Schwendinger, who retired from the board on June 4 after 45 years of service.

The Lake Regional Health System provides comprehensive health services to residents and visitors throughout the central Missouri region.
