A smoking gun led to a real gun on Friday Dynasty finale, leaving a character’s fate (sort of) in question.
Let’s start from the very beginning: upon discovering Liam and Eva’s “prom photos” hidden in her moody assistant’s office, Fallon finally made the connection and started pointing the finger in the right direction. Kind of. While it’s true that Eva tried to drive a wedge between them, Fallon also proved quite capable of sinking this “ship on his own.” Like the time when absolutely no one forced her to sleep with Colin.
Still, Fallon was determined to unmask the cute little liar, so she turned to Amanda for legal assistance. After some research, Fallon’s new sister discovered that Eva had changed her name several times, a fact she shared as Eva listened across the desk. (I’ll never understand why Fallon insists on doing so much of his dirty work at his actual workplace. It never ends well.)
That’s when people got their money’s worth: a full brawl between Fallon and Eva right there in the halls of Fempircal. Or Unlimited Fallon. Or whatever she calls it, whatever she considers “work” these days. Either way, it was a glorious smackdown, even though Liam didn’t appreciate what he was stepping on. It seemed like curtains for “Falliam” at the time … until stupid, stupid Eva made the ultimate rookie mistake. She waited about two seconds before throwing herself completely at Liam, which apparently gave him just the jerk he needed to ultimately deduce that she was not aiming at him so subtly. And this guy is a professional investigative journalist? It’s no wonder he hasn’t had a freelance job lately.
Liam surprised Fallon by showing up at Blake’s big political gala, even though he made it clear that he hadn’t completely forgiven her for cheating on him, and all was well that ended well. Sorry, I forgot the part where Eva showed up with a gun and shot Fallon, leaving her bleeding on the floor. (But let’s face it, the only thing that dies in this room is Blake’s campaign. Plus, if Dynasty kill Fallon now, who will be kidnapped by aliens in the series finale?)
We should probably also discuss …
* Alexis is about to find out if she can pull the orange off. With Dr. Larson blackmailing him for $ 5 million, Adam turned to his mother’s bag of money for help in return for his forgiveness. (Yes, Alexis can be bought, but she’s not cheap!) Alexis even let Adam use his apartment to transfer the dirty money, and from the moment he and Dr Larson stepped out onto that balcony to doing business, we knew one of them was going to end up on the ground below – and it wasn’t going to be Adam. Sure enough, the police showed up at Blake’s gala and arrested Alexis for murder, inspiring one of the most sly looks Adam has ever… smirk?
* Jeff is officially founded, in more than one way. Fully convinced that Brady has designs on his designs, the sick billionaire handcuffed Dominique to a table, grabbed his gun and headed to Blake’s gala to take care of Brady once and for all. (If you haven’t figured it out already, all brings back to Blake’s gala.) Brady managed to escape after struggling for the gun with Jeff, but a new problem arose when Culhane arrived on the scene. For the record, “you are not doing well and you need help” is not the best thing to say to someone ready to unload a gun, which Culhane learned when he found himself in Jeff’s sights. Luckily, Eva’s shot scared him enough not to shoot (I think), so hopefully he gets the help he needs. And you know what? I hope it will also arrive on Mars. Who says he can’t have it all!
* Proving there was absolutely no security at Blake’s gala, an uninvited third pistol crushed the party, this time belonging to Cristal’s sexy brother. Furious at Cristal for “taking” their family business from him, and with Blake for encouraging her not to back down, Beto showed up ready to shoot. But who? We’ll never know, as Eva’s shot also seemed to scare Beto away from pulling his own trigger. (Damn, Fallon took a bullet for many people.)
* Anders made his last appearance (so far) in a sweet side story that involved, of all people, Dua Lipa. The pop star was (allegedly) scheduled to perform at Blake’s gala, but ended up misting up at the San Francisco airport. But after Sam unveiled a tribute to his late mentor, voila, Dua Lipa’s plane magically slipped through the fog! I mean, we don’t technically have see her, but just knowing she’s theoretically on her way is enough to help me sleep at night. And I love that Anders’ last words to Sam are “Take care of the family.” (Hoping he brings Steven back first.)
