Best Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Mics For Week 4

It’s never fun when marquee running backs get hurt…for the owners of those RBs, that is. For everyone else, it’s a major opportunity. There are two such opportunities this week, as David Montgomery (ankle, knee) and Dalvin Cook (shoulder) both came out early, which Khalil Herbert and Alexander Mattison easy calls to headline our best week 4 fantasy waiver wire pickups and free agent additions. Of course, at the start of the season, there’s always more to the waiver wire than just RB handcuffs, because WR breakouts like mac hollins, DeVante Parker, Romeo Doubsand ZayJones are also sure to catch the eye of fantasy football owners.

Our full list of free agents features more players who have done enough to pique our interest. Isaiah McKenzie, Josh Reynolds, josh palm tree, Tyler Boyd, Tyler Conklin, David Njoku, KJ Osbornand Laviska Shenault are among the players who could help improve your team, even if only marginally. If you’re looking to get a little (or a lot) better week-over-week with your D/ST, we’ve got Week 4 Defense Streamer Recommendations that can be found on the end of list.

If Montgomery is expected to miss multiple games, Herbert is an easy call for top pickup and will be worth a high waiver request. The same goes for Mattison if Cook is to be out for an extended period. While Montgomery and Cooks’ prospects are still murky on Tuesday night, Herbert and Mattison are still in play for high claims. They will be so valuable if you start. Aside from Montgomery and Mattison, there are plenty of other players who are worth mid-to-lower waiver requests, depending on your positional needs. Doubs, Jones and Parker are the headliners of this group, but Hollins, McKenzie and maybe even Conklin are also part of this group.

All in all, it should be a busy week on the wire, which is great because if you don’t need/want to use claim, you should increase significantly. Even if you use a claim, you probably won’t lose a lot of places in the pecking order. Now is the time to improve your team, especially if you have a few misses that have produced little in three weeks.
